Workers' Compensation Program Provided by NHMTA Self-Insurance Group Trust (SIGT)

The Association has established a self-funded workers' compensation program made up of companies who operate a fleet of vehicles.  Qualified companies are able to become part of a program that pays dividends to its members and provides more control of their claims.  For details about this program, please contact Cecilia Loiselle at 603-415-8327.  Quotes are available upon request.

THE PROGRAM

NHMTA-Self Insurance Group Trust originated in 1993 with 13 companies.  Original members wanted to create a workers' compensation program that stressed safety in the workplace yet provided some control over their premiums.  Today we have 65 companies representing many sectors of industry including but not limited to: beverage and wholesale distributors, oil and propane dealers, moving companies, general freight carriers, waste haulers, couriers and bus companies. Our fully-trained staff is well versed in the overall management of the Trust.

CLAIMS MANAGEMENT

The Trust offers the most complete and experienced claims management in the state.  First report of injury claims can be filed via fax or email.  Upon receipt of a claim, the required information is filed with the NH Department of Labor electronically in accordance with the most recent claim filing requirements. Our attention to aggressive claims management, workplace safety and a deeply discounted network of providers has proven successful in reducing the cost of claims.  This saves our Trust members money over the fully insured market.
